| Marcels Truck Service was incorporated in 1964 in the province of Alberta as a privately owned company to serve the oil industry in the service sector. The company grew from two trucks to eighteen trucks and in 2004 changed direction and began moving drilling rigs. In 2005 the company purchased fifteen and a half acres of prime industrial land within the boundaries of the Town of Slave Lake. A new eighteen thousand square foot shop with offices was completed on this property with ample space for all their equipment to be parked and storage for rigs. In 2007 the company sold it's operations and real estate to Phoenix Corporation whose headquarters are in Nisku, Alberta.
Phoenix Corporation has retained the name of Marcels Truck Service for this branch of their company. With the new ownership the company continues to deliver the same work ethic and quality.
